Tuesday 2nd Week of Advent

IS 40:11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms, he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

Today, we celebrate the feast day of St. Juan Diego. Juan Diego is the “a simple, humble Indian” our Lady of Guadalupe first appeared to at Tepeyac hill, in Mexico, on December 9, 1531. When she asked him to be her messenger he asked her to please find someone more important than him. I am a no-body, he said. He even avoided the place where the Blessed Mother appeared, him walked around the hill. Finally, he said yes to God and became her messenger.

Have you ever noticed how God loves to seemly pick no bodies to be his messengers. The bible and present day is full of them. Have you ever wondered how is God calling each of us to be His messenger. We may think in today’s world/society we seem like a no-body, listen, be alert, God has plans for each of us.

Thank you Lord for choosing me, teach me to be alert and listening for your plan.
