MOnday the 2nd Week of Advent

Ephesians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

Today as Catholics, we celebrate the Immaculate Conception, the conception of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I thought for days what would I write about today but once again, God had other ideas. I said I was going to write during the 2nd week of advent about being chosen and He thought it best I keep to my word so he put this reading into today’s Mass schedule. God makes me giggle.

I am speechless when I ponder the thought that God thought of me, knew me, knitted me in my mother’s womb, counted the hairs on my head, knows when I sit or when I stand. How He must love me but also I know how I must disappoint Him at times. I am grateful I was chosen and even when I make mistakes, God still loves me.

Thank you God for choosing me and loving me.
