This third week my plan was to meditate on I Am Loved.
I have missed the first day sine I started…Monday; yesterday. It is humbling and overwhelming to sit down and think about how to explain, how and why God loves us.
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
God is with me, in the good times as well as the rough times.
God has my back at all times.
When I am happy and rejoicing God is cheering me on, my personal cheerleader.
After a long, noisy and busy day, God wraps his arms around me and calms my very soul.
God sings over me. I don’t know if I can ever remember anyone over signing over me.
Having typed this it made me remember this past fall when I was walking around the Minnesota Arboretum drinking in all of its beauty. The weather was perfect, the trees and bushes were a blaze with color. I found myself unable to capture all the color, smells and sounds around me with my camera. I finally, just let my camera hang around my neck and stood still taking in the all the beauty. I slowed began to turn in a circle enjoying the moment when I heard a lady’s voice singing a sweet, melody. I looked to see if I could find where it was coming from. A few hundred feet away was a middle-aged couple on a blanket in the sunshine. She was sitting and the man was lying with his head in her lap. She was gently running her fingers through his hair, thinning that it was and singing to him. She was so in love she didn’t care if any one else heard her or not she was singing a love song and he just drinking in the moment.
I can only imagine this is what it is like have God exult over you with loud singing only a million times better. To be bathed in God’s joy, love, grace and mercy. Wow!
