Fall Writing Frenzy Poetry Contest 2023

I have entered a poem in this contest. I am hoping someone finds a smile when they read it. Fall is my favorite time of the year. The smells, the colors, and the cooler temps. Of course who forget the pumpkins. Name it, muffins, coffee creamer, cake, cookies, or pie, and the list goes on and on and you can add pumpkin to make it the best ever. Here is my poem: A Sale at the Farmer’s Market

P.S. Sit down and have a pumpkin dessert, the poem will be much better.

A Sale at the Farmer’s Market

“What will it be for you today?”

A flat of strawberries,

Crate of cabbage

Peck of apples

Bushel of corn

A gallon of apple cider

Pint of maple syrup

Quart of dill pickles

Lug of peaches

Carton of brown eggs

Bunch of radishes

Bag of potatoes

Pound of carrots

Tray of cauliflower

Or a sack of onions?

“One pumpkin to go please,” I say.
